"York High School is a comprehensive high school committed to the education of all young people of the community. The educational program reflects the need to respond to the family, ethnic, and socioeconomic differences of students. The educational program is also designed to challenge students to accept personal responsibility for developing their own education. The faculty is dedicated to providing an education general in nature but specific in developing skills. This education will assist students in the clarification and development of values and goals which prepare them to pursue learning as a lifelong process and to participate as responsible adults within groups, organizations, and governmental units of society.
